xAI / Grok API Key

Follow these steps to create an xAI (Grok) API key.

Step 1: Create an API key

  1. Go to the xAI Console.
  2. Click API Keys in the left menu.

  3. Click Create API key in the top-right.

  4. Enter a name (e.g. Joomla-Auto-Translate), set access restrictions and rate limits as needed, then click Create API Key.

  5. Copy the API key and store it somewhere safe.

Step 2: Add the key to Joomla

  1. Log in to your Joomla backend.
  2. Go to System > Manage > Plugins and open System - Autolanguage.
  3. Open the Service & API tab.
  4. Set Translation Service to xAI / Grok.
  5. Paste your key into the xAI API Key field.
  6. Save, then select the Grok model you want to use for translations.
