How do I get started after installing?
Can I add direct links to Joomla pages inside a task?
Yes. In a task description you can add a direct link to any backend page, for example index.php?option=com_plugins to link to the Plugins page. The link is domain-independent, so it keeps working when you export the task to another website.
Can I reuse my checklist on other websites?
Yes. You can export your checklist from one site as a .json file and import it into another, which saves you from rebuilding the same list every time. Note that imported tasks always get the unchecked status, and Recurring and Assigned to User settings are not included in the export.
What is the dashboard module and how does it work?
The Admin Checklist module is installed and published automatically on your Joomla dashboard. It shows all your categories with an overview of checked and unchecked tasks, and links straight through to your filtered checklist. You can optionally show a color-coded progress bar and hide categories where every task is completed.
How do recurring tasks work?
The Recurring Tasks plugin PRO version only automatically recreates repeating tasks for you. You set up a Scheduled Task in System > Scheduled Tasks with an interval (for example monthly on the 5th at 9:00), then link that interval to a task. The task is then recreated on schedule, whether or not you checked it off. For reliable timing, trigger the scheduled tasks with a real cron job instead of Joomla's default lazy scheduler.
Can I assign tasks to specific users?
Yes, with the Assign to User plugin PRO version only. After installation you get an "Assigned To User" field on the task edit screen. Task Management and the Checklist then show an "Assigned To" column you can filter by, and the dashboard module has an "Assigned to me only" option so each team member sees only their own tasks.
Does it track who completed a task?
Yes. The Action Log plugin, included in the installation package and activated automatically, logs every check and uncheck action to the Joomla User Actions Log, including which user did it and when.
How can I change the way completed tasks are displayed?
In the component options you can choose how checked tasks appear: with a line through them, muted, or hidden entirely. You can also set whether links in task descriptions open in a new tab.
Can I restore a previous version of a task?
Yes, if you enable Versions in the component options. Joomla then automatically saves older versions of a task, and you can restore a previous version while editing. You can set a maximum number of versions to keep, or keep all of them.
On how many sites can I use the PRO version?
The extension can be installed on unlimited sites with a single license, with no per-domain fees. You can cancel anytime. If you use more Joomill extensions, the Bundle includes Admin Checklist PRO plus all other commercial Joomill extensions. VAT is added for EU residents.
