Joomla Content Calendar

The Content Calendar is a Joomla administrator module that shows your scheduled and published articles in a calendar view, right inside your site's backend. You see at a glance what goes live and when, without scrolling through the standard article list. It's built for editorial teams, marketers and administrators who want to stay in control of their publishing schedule.

The module works with Joomla 5.x. and 6.x Joomla 3 is not supported. You can find your server information and Joomla version in the backend under System > System Information.

It's an administrator module, so it appears in the backend on the Joomla Home Dashboard. It is not a frontend module and is therefore never shown to your visitors. When you close an article you opened for editing from the calendar, you return to that same dashboard

Yes. The free version is forever free and requires no account. It lets you display your articles in a calendar view and navigate forward and back by month. Drag-and-drop, adding articles, custom colors and the week view are part of PRO.

The free version gives you the calendar overview with month navigation plus the hover and click functions to view and edit articles. PRO adds four things: dragging articles to a different date, creating new articles directly from the calendar, custom colors by category, tag or author, and the week view that lets you plan beyond a single month.

Yes. In the module settings you select one or multiple categories. If you don't select any category, all articles are shown.

Yes, even in the free version. Click an article title to open the edit screen. Hovering over an article instantly shows the details: title, publish date, author, tags, ID and status.

In PRO you drag an article to a different day to change its publish date. You can only drag to future dates, dates in the past are disabled. Articles that are already published cannot be moved.

This is a PRO feature. Enable it in the module settings, then click the + icon on the desired day (the icon appears on hover). The article is created on that date, using the default time and default category you set in the settings.

A PRO feature that lets you plan beyond a single month. In the settings you choose whether the previous week is shown and how many upcoming weeks you want to see. That keeps recent publications in sight while you plan ahead.

Yes, in PRO. You choose whether colors are based on category, tag or author, and set a color per category, tag or user. That way you recognize at a glance what type of content sits where.

Through the standard Joomla installer. Download the install file and in the backend go to System > Install > Extensions, upload the package, and the module is published automatically. You can also use the "Install from Web" tab and search for "Joomill". Make a backup first and update Joomla to the latest version.
