Frontend editing lets logged-in users add or edit items directly on the website, without going into the Joomla administrator. This is useful if you want clients, staff or other non-admin users to manage part of the price list themselves.

The buttons and screens shown below depend on your site's template. These screenshots use YOOtheme Pro, but the same buttons appear on any template.

Who sees what

What a visitor can do is controlled by the access levels described in Permissions. If a user has the right to add items to a category, an Add Item button appears below the category description. If they have the right to edit an item, an Edit button appears at the end of that item's row.

Adding or editing

Clicking either button opens the same add/edit form used elsewhere, right on the front end.
