Before you install, check that your site meets these requirements. Ask your host if you're not sure, or check System > System Information in the Joomla administrator.

General requirements

• Joomla! 5.x or 6.x

Support for Joomla! 3.10 ended in August 2023.

Preparations

• Create a full backup of the website. Akeeba Backup is a quick way to do this.
• Update to the latest version of Joomla.

Installation (upload & install)

Custom Fields plugins install the same way as any other Joomla extension.

Go to System > Install > Extensions.

Select your downloaded zip file in the Upload Package File tab. After a few moments you'll see a message confirming the plugin is installed.

The plugin publishes itself automatically. To check, go to Extensions > Extension Manager, find the Custom Field plugin (its name starts with "Fields -"), and confirm its status is Published.

Installation (Install from Web)

Go to System > Install > Extensions and open the Install from Web tab. Search for Joomill to find all our extensions.
