Before installation, check that your site meets the requirements below. Ask your hosting provider if you are not sure, or check System > System Information in the Joomla backend.

General requirements

• Joomla 5.x or 6.x
  Reset Hits module is also available for Joomla 2.5, 3.x or 4.x, but those versions do not get the latest features.

Support for Joomla 1.5 ended September 2012. Support for Joomla 2.5 ended March 2015. Support for Joomla 3.10 ended August 2023.

Preparations

• Create a full backup of your website. Akeeba Backup is a quick way to do this.
• Update to the latest version of Joomla.

Installation (upload & install)

Reset Hits installs the same way as any other Joomla extension.

1. After downloading the installation file from our website, go to System > Install > Extensions in your Joomla administrator.
   
2. Select the file in the Upload Package File tab. After a few moments you get a message confirming the extension is installed.
   
3. From version 4.2.0 onward, the module publishes itself automatically. Go to Extensions > Extension Manager, find the Reset Hits (Administrator) module, and check that its status is Published.

Installation (install from web)

1. Go to System > Install > Extensions and select the Install from Web tab.
2. Search for Joomill to find our extensions.
